2026 Publishing Test

I have kicked off a 3 month paternity leave stint, taking care of my now 6-month old third child, Caspar, while Tara returns to work. This is a pretty exciting time for me as I really didn’t get this sort of focused time with my other two (much older) kids. As an added bonus, it lands when I’m at a bit of a point in my day job where having some time to step away and re-assess will probably pay dividends down the road also.

Perhaps a win-win.

Each year I promise myself to invest more time in writing, but for several years in a row i’ve failed to deliver. Maybe this time around I can prioritize the time and get into the rhythm.

This post is mostly just testing the mechanics of getting things onto this page are still working. Lets see!
